The easiest way is to just install the mag and attempt to start it, if it backfires when starting, just change the wires, or remove and turn the drive lug half a turn and reinstall. when cranking, notice the timimg mark on the flywheel. it will line up with a mark om a cover on the tractor at 3 o'clock position, the mag should snap when these two marks line up.
