These two tractors are basically 318's with 3-cyl gas or diesel yanmar motors. The gas motor was actually cloned from the diesel version so it is particularly stout.

They both have hydrostatic transmissions, dual hyd outlets at the front and individual wheel brakes, all nice features. Deere did offer a 3pt hitch and rear PTO for these tractors when new. I think the mid/front PTO was essentially a belt drive from the engine, not a true front PTO but able to run a snowblower, etc. Deere also offered a small FEL along with mmm and rear tillers. About the only implement they didn't offer was a small bush hog or rotary, but again we're talking garden tractor here not CUT.

You should checkout weekendfreedommachines.org, lots of great info on the old JD GT's.

$4800 is a reasonable price for a 322 or 322 in good shape, especially with all of the extras like the tiller and FEL. The FEL in particular is very sought after by 318 owners. Snap it up while you can.

My dad had a 322 for a number of years and I enjoyed using it, very nice for a GT.

Good luck!
