power steering on JD 620

i have a 620 with a swartz wide front end and when i turn the sterring wheel until it stop it will jam and wont come back unless i jerk on it any suggestions

Jerry, the first thing that comes to mind is that you have a tie rod end or linkage jamming up at full steering lock.. Turn the steering wheel to the full turn position & see if something is jamming up on the steering linkage.. Also look to see if an upper spindle steering arm is going slightly past center [I have seen that happen on some mismatched steering arms]..

~If nothing external found you could have a broken internal steering stop pin [kind of common] but when that happens it usually only effects one direction..If you lock up in both directions suspect an external linkage problem..
