I have a 1953 john Deere 50, I have Quick couplers in the rear end of the tractor the power trol level is up to the level plug, but when I move the lever the rockshaft doesnt move and the tractor stalls, The tractor has been sitting for a long time and I think the piston could be stuck in its bore, is that a posability and how hard would it be to get unstuck. Thank you in advance.

1953 50, you say...

Quote: "I have Quick couplers in the rear end of the tractor the power trol level is up to the level plug, but when I move the lever the rockshaft doesn't move and the tractor stalls"...>>> Answ, If those quick couplers are in the rear P/T ports on your Power-Trol your rockshaft won't operate.. For your rockshaft to operate the remote plugs MUST have open fronts [see picture].. If the front of those plugs are closed [see picture] the pressure will be dead headed & the engine will have a high load [or stall].. If you have open front plugs is the rear ports & it still doesn't operate you have an internal blockage..

~Closed front plugs direct the P/T oil to a remote cylinder [if you have one on it].. If no remote cylinder the pressure is just deadheaded..
