Thanks agin for the fast info, i was doing it to night ,a frend had a torque wrench big enough.The head and block is all new with M&W pistons,all shaved and flat.studs were glued in block and the nuts would spin by hand.All the tin and fan were removed so it went well.Cant wait to here it run.Should be some thunder in the hills that day.I went to napa to get #3 premetex he didnt have any and we couldnt find it in the book, what is it,i used copper gold all he had.Thanks 36 A

_That wouldn't surprise me, in some places it is now called Aviation Grade Permatex.. Deere carries the same stuff under the name of "General Purpose gasket dressing"..

~That Copper Gold you used should do OK,, just make sure you do a re-torque after a few heating & cooling cycles & it might not hurt to do a torque check after you run it hard for a month or two.. It sounds like you are running some compression so it's important you to keep that head tight..

Geeeee ee wish I could be there to hear her BARK N POP Ooh Ooh Ooh. I think The stuff I last used was K & W High Temp Kopper Kote????? Ive never had one leak when I used it (or whatever in the heck it was I forget exactly) and did that slowwwww ww very time consuming incremental torque down then retorqued after a good warm up.
