4430 oil light problem

I have a 4430 quad range that has the transmission oil warning light come on when it is in neutral or park and stays on for about 5 seconds then starts blinking on and off until it is put in gear and then it stops. It does this sometimes but not every time it is in neutral or park. I have checked the oil level and it is full of oil. In January the ring gear and sun gear shot out of the transmission and axle housing. My mechanic put new housings and gears in it and also a new oil sensor in it. I am thinking that there might be a little trash in the line clogging the filters. Does anyone think that this might be the problem or does the light come on like this on all 4430's and is it fine? I have driven other quad ranges and I know the light will sometimes come on when shifting but I am asking this because I am still a little shell-shocked about the last breakdown that cost me $6,000.

the light means transmission pressure is low (i think that there was an option of high temerature warning in the same warning lite).
the steady light that after a while start blinking is built into the bulb itself.
put the range lever in 'tow' and the speed lever in powershift high and then in low.whenever the light comes on you have a leakage problem in that circuit. there was a problem in early tractors in which a piece of pipe in the hi-lo circuit 'jumped' out of place when it's retainer broke. that created low rpm pressure drop. i don't remember if it was in hi or in lo.

i would change out the hydraulic filter. It should have been changed at 20-25 hours after the repair anyway, because they would pick up any debris,or grindings left in the system.Might also be a good idea to remove the sender and clean it,because they have a tendency to attract grindings and give a false reading. If you find alot of grindings in the filter, install a cleanup filter (available from Deere) run it for 10-20 hours and change it again until the system cleans up.
