Have found a very late 70 Diesel Standard with dual inner weights, good pony, all original paint ,decals, and completely straight sheet metal and grillworks. Appears to have original tires front and rear, with 70% or better tread but age cracks. Could be correct hours @ 450 or so. Need opinions as to what purchase price to offer the guy. Thanks for the input.

Talked to the guy again and said he'd like to get $2500 for it. They are not usually found around here so would have to get one out of the area which adds to the price. What do you guys think? It really does not look like a hurt tractor. Never priced one so am asking for recommendations. Thanks.

It is always hard to tell some one what to offer on a tractor when you have not seen it.. I have a neighbor who has a stuck GPWT in his barn and some one has given him the impression that it is worth it's weight in gold. What really matters is what are you willing to part with to get it and not feel like you gave too much. I've looked at plenty and said I would not give that much for them and some one came and paid them what they were asking and then stuck that much again into the tractor to make it right.. What will your situation allow you to pay and will he take it is the question you should be asking. Remember you are the one who has to justify the price you are paying. We have not looked at the whole deal. Ask him what is his bottom dollar and buy it or forget about the deal was not right for you.

jim, I wouldn't offer him much for it, by the way exactly where is this tractor..... ..... My point is this, if you don't make a serious offer soon, someone else will. You can be sure of that.

We bought one last summer for 4000$ CN, with a #45 loader. You have a good price there.
