Does anyone know where would be a good place to start trying to locate a block for a 1949 r tractor. Mine is cracked and I would rather not try and weld it. Also a parts source for rings, bearings, ect.. would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jmtn, those R blocks are a bit heavy to go UPS so the truck shipping will be high.. You might be better off trying to fine one in your area..

~Tell us where do you live & maybe someone in your area can point you to a scrap yard that would have one?

The absolute best place is on the classified section of this site. Just have to keep reposting to keep it current.

Try 2 cylinder Plus in Conway, Mo.They advertise in the Green Magazine and The 2 cylinder Magazine.I stopped there coming back from Branson on the way to Louisville this past fall and I thought I saw some R blocks.Their no.is 417-589-2634 or 417-589-3337
