This might be a strange question, but I know someone out there has the answer and since I can't go measure one right now I was wondering if anyone knew how tall thier 4440 was. I'm planning on building a barn and part of this barn planning incorporates the long awaited day I can buy a 4440 for my ranch. I love that tractor, 2nd favorite to the 4020 and I already have a 4020. Anyway, Can some please tell me how tall these tractors are. I understand tire size play a part, just rough idea will work. Thanks

Not a strange question at all. I went through the same thought process when I put up a machine shed last year. I ended up stopping at the local JD dealer and measuring tractors, looking at things roughly the size of a 4440 (I think a 4440 was one of the tractors I measured) with 18.4-38 rears and two wheel drive. The tractors measured between 10 and 11 feet, so I went with a 12 foot door. Tallest tractor I have now is a 301-A with a canopy, but now I'm all set if/when I get a bigger toy.

CANT SAY EXACTLY BUT IT WONT GO IN A 10' DOOR . I WOULD PUT IN AT LEAST A 12' DOOR.THEN YOU WILL BE SET. IF NO ONE GIVES THE RIGHT DIMINSION I WILL LOOK THEM UP FOR YOU. DON

Yeah I knew it wouldn't fit a 10' but I wasn't sure if I need to go up to the 12' or 14'. That'd be great if you could get the dimesions, but if not I'll go with 12' doors. Thanks a bunch, Don
