My uncle got his new engine and now wants to know what the spacing or distance for the clutch fingers should be on the 4020. Anyone know off hand? (Or do we have to get the gauge?)

Thanks.

JU

Borrow a gauge and take a piece of heavy sheet metal and use the gauge as a pattern.Cut it out and then you will have one of your own that is correct. Its a tough enough job setting the pto fingers with a gauge, I wouldn't want to take a chance on having to split the tractor again to do it right the second time.Engine fingers are a lot easily set.You also really need a dummy pilot shaft to set the finger correctly. They can be made of hardwood.
