I need some advise on how to get the dirt out of the fuel line. The line is clear but the valve to switch to different fuels is plugged buy the sediment bowl. We can't get the valve off but the gas drips slow. please e-mail me

Jeff - of course the best way to clean out those 90 degree holes in the three way is to take it apart.

Did you try and take off the entire sediment bowl with the three way attached to it? (Make sure you turning the right way.)

Then did you try to unscrew the three way from the sediment bowl? Take off the wire bale and the sediment glass, so you can get a wrench on the body to hold it while turning with the other wrench on the three way.

If that doesn't work, can you get a wrench on the packing nut behind the selector lever. You may need a stubby wrench to get in there. I'm not sure what kind of three way you have, but if its the lever type, the nut will come off and over the lever. Under the nut is a brass washer, and a cork type seal. If you can back that out, then the inside tapered part will pull out and you can then clean it by snaking a wire, or drill bit into the holes.

And you can make a new seal, clean it up and re-assemble.

Thanks for the comment. This tractor hasn't run for over 30 years. We might try an air hose also.
