Wanted john deere 4220 or 4440 open station ruff tractor.. could have bad motor or be burnt... want to make puller out of it

Don't limit yourself to factory open-station tractors. Cutting the top off a burn Sound-Gard is pretty easy, and you'll end up with just about the same thing. A friend of mine did it with a burnt 4430 and it looked decent when he was done. And there's a 4055 running around these parts that had the same treatment, although I think it was originally a four-post ROPS. If you really wanted to get it light, you could cut off the outer and inner fenders and put bolt-on fenders on the final-drives, as long as you maintain some support for the side console or rig up a new one. That would probably get you even lighter than a factory open-station.
