Wondering if my 720 D w/3point could pull a 7 tooth chisel plow that is a 3 point model? Has the 2 inch wide points...not a very heavy unit...so I dont know the depth I could go....
Looking to see if anyone has ever used one of these? It is probably 6 feet wide with 7 points.

Unless you're in really hard dirt, it shouldn't be a problem. I've pulled a 7 shank landoll 8" deep with a 630 allfuel all day long. 630 was in really great shape and sometimes you'd hit a spot where you had to ease up on the hitch, but overall it handled it very well, sure would make the old gal bark.

Hook that hog up and let her root. Ain't nothing like the real thing. Then you will know what your tractor does in your soil.

7 points is a bit of an overload. I know some will disagree as this is a subjective topic, but a general rule of thumb has always been at least 10 hp per tooth. That would make your 720 more suitable for 5 or 6 points max.

Two inches sounds awful narrow for chisel plow points. If that is the case, you may be able to handle all 7 if you go shallow.

Bottom line is we can all sit here and tell you what we think, but nobody will ever know the truth until you hook up and try.

Going down hill with the wind at your back and duals on, maybe.
