It's not for sale, but I need to know what kind of insurance value to put on it and I'm trying to figure out the year. It's a 430-w and it's in very good to great condition. Anybody????? I gave the local dealer the serial number and that dumb kid couldn't tell me squat. I know that it's before 1960. Thanks all.

Maybe that dumb kid didn't know he could go to this page and look on the left side under "Research & Info" and select " Serial Numbers" and find it for you.

Need the serial # to determine the year. Has to be a 59 or 60. The value is what someone will pay you for it. Dad paid $3500 for his a couple of years ago.

Your 430 is between 1958 and 1960, What its worth depends on condition and options. If it has power steering and live PTO, runs good and the sheet metal is good, its worth 3500.00 to 4500.00 As far as the kid at the dealership goes, not knowing about a tractor, that was made 40+ years ago, does not make you DUMB. Not everyone lives in the past. Most dealers are concerned with the here and now. Not too many dealers are left that sold these things new.
