The shock absorber on the front of my 520 seat has little to no resistance. Does anyone know a way to explain how much pull and push it should take to tell if this thing is any good.

Jim, I had one a few years ago that the rubber bushings in the shock were bad and the shock seemed weak to me. I got a new one and there was very little difference in them. I then replaced the well worn torsion springs and everything worked as it should. I don't think that shock absorber should be to stiff or it would not let the springs work as they should.
