Many people recomend setting the fuel level in the carb with some clear tubing in order for more precision adjustment.

The float level of my carb should be 3/4" from the bottom of the gasket to the bottom of the float.

What would the fuel level be set at if I did it that way? I'm working on a JD 50.

Thanks,

David

With that carb. upside down and gasket not on yet I measure up from the machined surface where the gasket sits up to the bottom of the float (which is now at the top )and set it a 3/4 " This is what the book says and I have never had any problems with this setting so I have never had to check the actual fuel level. Just make sure you put the gasket for the bottom nut on before you put the bowl on and do not overtighten it as you can break off the threads.
