I purchaced a owners, service, and parts manual from my local deere dealer. None of these tell information needed to rebuild the motor, such as what the diameter of an unturned crankshaft journal is supposed to be, ect... Is there another manual that I am missing?

The R service manual is a little short on specifications - the I&T manual on the R contains that info, and it is also in a JD Field Service Bulletin. The I&T (Implement and Tractor) shop manual may still be available, and you may find it useful for rebuilding your R. Check with your dealer if he has one. Or, if you provide your email address I can scan and send you the specification info.
