Found a 1950 MT and would like to have it. It doesn/t look too good, the back tires are up and that is the only recommendation for them. It starts easily and sounds rough (which is probably the muffler or lack of one). He is asking $1900 which I thought was outrageous. I'm thinking somewhere around five or six hundred but I don't want to insult someone with a ridiculus offer. Would sure appreciate some ideas from you folks. Thanks and God Bless. Joe M

Joe,

I would get print-out "Olds" e-mail of the 3 fer deal, show that to your seller and tell him you will give him $800 max...ask the seller to inform you regarding all of the recent updates/upgrades or repairs that were made, whos did them and how much did they cost?...if he can not, you ar for sure inheriting some potentially major problems, as with any old tractor or machine. To conclude, it is really hard to advise you what to pay because none of us can see, hear or test the tractor...good luck,
tom

A couple weeks ago I missed a good buy 2 JD-MTs and an Allis WD for $1500, yes $1500 for all 3 and they all ran and didn't need much work other then some paint and TLC. So yes thats high I wouldn't pay more then maybe $1000 and thats max for what your looking at. Just look some more, I bet you can find a better one for a better price
