1010s and 2010s have a poor setup for sealing the sleeves against the water-jacket. One single o-ring per sleeve is all there is. Deere made the same mistake with some of their later engines, but all the engines EXCEPT for the 1010 and 2010s got updated sleeve and o-ring kits allowing the retrofitting for three seals per sleeve instead of one. To fix, you need to pull the head, pull out the pistons, remove the sleeve deck, clean things up, and then install four new o-rings, a sleeve deck gasket, and a new head gasket. That is the absolute minimum you'll need. Chances are, if it's been getting coolant dripping on the main bearing caps, the bearings will be bad also. And, if the pistons are out, it would be silly not to hone the sleeve walls and install new rings. If the top grooves are worn in the pistons, repairs shims are available and cheap. If you drain out the engine oil, and then pull the oil pan, you can usually see rust marks at the bottoms of the sleeves where coolant leaks have been occurring. I've got a 1960 and a 1961 1010, and I had to do them both in the past year.
