I'm going to be parting out a late 1970s 300-B here in central Texas at Caldwell in the next couple weeks and on. The revervser was screwed up on it and really the main thing wrong. Then the shop we took it too lost 1/2 the parts splitting it. Long story. Anyway found a place in IL Link that had the whole inside clutch housing at $1250 after looking around alot for the best deal and theirs was off a 310 which they said should work the same? Anyway we now have just decided to part the 300B so let me know if you need anything before I would post it on eBay or YT. Thanks. CashMoline@hotmail.com

Lets start with the reverser linkage..There is a cross shaft that goes from the clutch pedal to the reverser control valve. On that shaft there is a groove pin or roll pin close to control valve. Drive that roll pin or groove pin out. See if it is worn from use. Try a new pin. If that doesn't work you might have to split the machine at the clutch housing and reseal the forward clutch pack. It's possible that the internal splines in the friction discs have stripped out or the sealing rings in the front manifold have worn or broken. Good Luck
