Mag tester question for Duane

I just picked up another John Deere mag test stand and this one not only had the cast forged L bracket for the base mount mags, but also a channel bracket about 5 inches long with 2 square holes and a slot in the middle between them. The holes line up with the bolt holes on the test stand. What in the world is it for? It has a part no. on it, same type as the L bracket. Thanks

34gpa,
Well, you got me. Is it a cast piece - if not, how is the number put on the piece? Is it possible it is a modified base-mount bracket? The parts list for the Deere magneto tester does not show anything like that. Neither does DIR 306, the Deere magneto repair manual that shows how to operate the tester. And, I am (at present) at a loss to figure out what it would be used for. Unless it was to hold a magneto with a gear drive, like on the LA or some such, but that would take other changes in the tester. Is it possible to post a pix of the piece, or email one to me?

I have some other info and brochures on the Allen test stands. Adapters for other types of mags, aircraft mags, generators, and starters were available for them. If you post a pic of it let me know.
