I saw a unused,NOS John Deere radio made in 1967 on a current eBay auction. The seller seemed to think that it was a pretty rare item. There was no buy now price. I think it would go great with my 4020 restoration but I have no idea what it is worth.

That would be very rare indeed if it really is a Deere radio.Deere didn't put a radio in or on a tractor in 1967 that I know of.We did however install a semi truck load of "Automatic" brand radios on the fenders or 3010s,4010s,3020s & 4020s back in those days.Big ole green boxes they were with an antenna mounted on the side of the box which inveribly got torn off if the antenna was extended. The first 30 series w/ Sound Gard Body equipped tractors came from the factory with stereo radios already installed until the truckers at truck stops stole so many Deere quit the practice and the dealer had to furnish the radio if the customer wanted one.Hey,those truckers knew a good radio when they saw one.LOL,bob
