Will an styled G with 15.5 x 38 tires fit on a 6 foot 10 inch wide trailer with the wheels in? I'm thinking about buying the trailer but wanted to make sure it would fit between fenders and rail.

Look into one of the newer deck overs that use rubber torsion axles and no springs these are lower than the old design with springs like I have.

Thanks again for everyone's replies. I guess now the question for me is do I want to go ahead and get the trailer since my heart was set on this one for the price and pull my other tractors and leave the G at home. Oh well, I guess that's just the way it goes in this hobby.

My 1950 G has 14.9 tires on 14" rims. I have the wheels in on the axles to about an inch away from the pulley. My trailer is 83" between the fenders and I can just squeak on with less than an inch on either side. So with 15.5's, I dont think it'd work. I do like having the weight nice and low, and my truck has toolboxes and a ladder rack, so I couldn't use a gooseneck. But if I had a truck that could use it, an 8' wide gooseneck trailer would really be nice.

1951G, I got tired of that same problem, so I bought a modified deckover trailer built by Nomanco in Ind. Its a super tractor hauler and now I can forget about the tractor being too wide. If you can not measure it your self get someone else to check it for you, could save you some trouble and disapointment. Been there and done that one time to many.

I just know how you can tell for sure UNTIL you actually measure the max wheel width of the tractor????? It depends, of course, on BOTH the type of wheels and how far the hubs are sucked in on the axles PLUS if it has adjustable rims on what rib they are set at. But it sounds like the hubs gotta be way in close PLUS the rims set at the narrowest to get the max wheel track at under 7 feet. Personally I dont like em sucked in to the max for stability purposes plus you cant pull the clutch probably.

Dont know for sure but I bet it will be a stretch to get a G under 7 ft and if so its with the hubs max in on the axles plus adjustable rims set with the wheels in.

Sorry no answer,

John T
