Does anyone know a phone number for a place called Straum's Dump in Nebraska? I am not sure of the spelling. Thanks.

Is this the place that's mentioned in one of Roger Welsch's books?

John,

It's Stromps Dump and Leon is right, it's near Spaulding. Like him I don't have the number right in front of me but can look it up if need be.

Jim

I believe it's Strump's Dump and know it's a couple of miles west of Spaulding, NE. I was there last summer. I may have the number someplace so if you can't locate his number having this information, I'll dig some deeper.

I'm glad you posted the number, I have been looking for it. Was out there this past summer after a storm blew a tree down on my 65 case. I had to take the parts off myself, but it was worth the 2 hours to only spend $80 to fix my baby back up. Old man Stromp has quite a sense of humor too. Have a friend in CA that is looking for old parts. Turned him on to Stromp's, that is why I was looking for the number.

Stromps has more threshing machines lined up in a row along his inroad(sort of looks like an elephant expeditition of some sort) than I've ever seen in one place.
Just a point of information for inquiring minds.

Yeah its not hard to tell if you're at the right place! He also has a small steam engine that was submerged in the Niobrara river after a bridge accident. It would make a great yard ornament but no one can pry it loose.
