I'm traveling from Memphis, Tennessee to Atkinson, Nebraska the week of July 18 to pickup a tractor. My wife and I would like to stop at a show or pull along the way and didn't know if there were any during this week in Nebraska or the southern part of South Dakota. Thanks for any information.

The Farm Show directory I have shows a 'Camp Creek Threshers 29th Annual Show' on July 16 & 17 in Waverly, Nebraska, featuring John Deere. (Not sure where that is in relation to Atkinson.)

In South Dakota....It shows nothing for those dates.

I can put in a plug for the Camp Creek show - LOTS going on (3-4 threshing machines going, balers, sawmills, corn shelling, silo filling, plowing, rock crushing, etc. etc.). They also have several large old Averys, Aultman Taylors, Oil Pulls, and steam engines. As noted, this year they are featuring JD. I have been several times (from Tennessee) and really enjoy it. Plenty of parking. If you go, be sure to catch the polka band doing the "John Deere Polka".

It is just outside Lincoln, at Waverly, on their showgrounds. Saturday and Sunday only.

Duane,

Thanks again for the info. Did you say you're from Tennessee?

Actually, it's her tractor we're going to get. I'll have to admit, I'm fortunate that she likes the shows and pulls but she's more into hiking, camping, and whitewater rafting. As long as I participate with her on these activities then she enjoys the tractor shows.
