well it wont change the speed and they wont stand the hp either. They came out with 4020 gears and they wouldnt take it either. Deere changed the angle of the teeth and made them wider gears . The differentials wouldnt take it either untill they put the 4 spider gears in.

First of all, why do you want to speed a 4430 up?I am not sure it will speed anything up except money out of your wallet. If the tractor has a Sound Guard Body on it, the axle housings won't be drilled for the mounts.Brakes are different too.4010 axles are smaller. Why not just go to larger diameter tires and wheels?42" or 46" tires and wheels.

I was told that it would gear you up 10%. I am pulling hot farm and need to run faster that D4 which is 20.4 MPH.I am running 20.8 X 38 but can run 18.4 x 42's will that do anything for me. what about a 4640 gear set????

D4 down the track at 20.4 mph? Then you ask if 42" tires will help? Of course they will but..... .. This sounds like some joker with too much time on thier hands posting a "what if" question" A Hot Farm will be running at least 1-1/2 times factory rpms. You are not making 30+ mph wheel speed with a 4230's weight and a 404 engine. 203 RCI vs 217 RCI. That would be 107% faster or 21.6mph v.s. 20.4 mph .
