I just purchased a nice 1010 gas and while I was adjusting the tappets I noticed that there is a plate about 3/8" between the block and the head. It seems odd that the corners are just square with the corners cut off and not rounded to match the head or the block. Question: Is this standard Deere or did someone add this for some reason. Thanks, Chief
