Tractor will be used for tractorpulling only. I've had the pump spruce up by a diesel injection service, which is the only thing done to it thus far. It has the 4020 kit in it, it dyno's 93 horsepower. What else can I do short of putting a turbo on to increase the horsepower? Put bigger fuel lines on, different injectors ( it has the cast iron injectors ) a different cam, or head porting. I want to try pulling without the turbo, because some places won't allow a turbo. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

About 100 hp is all you are going to get out of it.Bigger injectors/fuel lines will only increase the amount of smoke you produce, and possibly hurt power. The more fuel you dump in it, the more air it will need to make power. You can port/polish,balance blueprint, change valves, change cam and pistons, and wind the pump up,and maybe get 120 hp for about $8500+. Hang a 4430 charger setup on it,change the torque spring in the pump and get 130+ if the rest of the stock engine is still decent, for less than a grand.

How big of a turbo can I put on this motor before it is to big. If I go the turbo setup, I may as well put on the biggest one it will handle. Will probably turn the RPM'S up to 2700-3000 if I run the turbo. There are several 4010's in our area that are running in the 175+ horsepower range, would like to get in that range if I go to a turbo. Will the turbo manifolds off a 4430 fit on a 4010? I have already Had the torque spring in the pump changed and a bigger head installed on the injection pump. Will I be able to achieve this kind of horsepower with the right size turbo?
