Take those points and throw them into the trash. Get a Pertronics electronic conversion and one of thier high output 3.0 ohm coils if your tractor isn't bypass start. 1.5 ohm if it's a bypass tractor. Widen the plug gap up to 50 thou with Auto-Lite 3116 plugs, use solid core wires and enjoy.

Take your distributor number along and they should be able to fix you up.

Go to any parts house and ask for a set of points for a 235 in line 6 cylinder chevy. They work in any 2 cylinder JD. Just put a set in a 520. Cost about 5 or 6 dollars.
