Has anyone used this manual for 2 cyl tractor carbs and would it be worth owning?

Joe, I posted some info in Steve's post above to give an example of info found in the SM2024 carb manual. Yes, there are also pics of the carbs in repair and pics of the special repair tools in it also. I didn't mention it also covers the LP carbs too but not LP strainers or regulator/converters. Those are covered in other LP manuals depending which model you have. The manuals are pricy now from JD but I bought my manual 20 years ago or more and wished I had bought all the 2 cyld. repair manuals then. You can also get the manuals on CD from JD and sometimes find them online for sale. Just beware of the poor quality illegal reproductions.

The number is SM2024 Carburetors for JD engines. It won't cover the very early D or GP carbs but it does cover all the other carbs used on JD 2 cylinders from the A to 830 pony motor carb. Covers all Marvel Schebler and Zenith carbs used in the later JD 2 cyld. era on tractors, pony engines, power units, baler & hay presses, beet harvesters, combines, cotton pickers, forage harvesters, and windrowers. It has a excellent carb ID chart and simple parts list for most of them. It covers repair techniques used in the 2 cyld. era which will differ some now because of the years gone by and rust and crud you find in your carburetor after all that time.

I have a JD carb. service manual I don't know which number but it was the only one listed and it is sure worth having as are all the other seperate manuals like the power steering and power trol and hydraulics that you can get.
