I started to restore my 41 styled b and have got it running but the clutch wont snap in. I tried to tighten up the 3 bolts but still nothing. I started to disasemble it and forget to mark the drive disk. How do I know which ways it goes on. Also what should I try to do to get it to snap in besides new plates. Also where the drive disk is attached the shaft looks pretty beat up..any recomendations???? Thanks Al

you need to start out by setting the correct distance between your flywheel and the plate right in behind it. i forgot the dimension but it isn't much. something like .010. you need to buy a shop manual for your tractor and read up on how to do this. ask your local jd dealer if he has anybody he can recommend to help. alot of old jd mechanics love to tinker around on the side on these old jd's
