I need to take the hood off of my 620, I have the steering shaft out, nose cone off and was wondering if the gas tank has to come off with it? If I remember right, the hood alone came off of the 630 leaving the gas tank in place, thanks for any advice.

On the 620, the gas tank comes off with the hood. That is one advantage of the 30' series as you can remove the hood without the gas tank. On the 620 the straps holding the hood & tank together are usually siezed up & require a huge amount of effort to loosen them up.
