I am in possession of a 4 cylinder Kubota Type L9850 tractor that was stored outside for 2 years. Engine will run on starter fluid. Clean diesel is to the suction of the injection pump. No fuel comes out of the pump (injection lines removed at pump) even when running on starter fluid. Other than taking pump to injection shop, I need direction and advise. Thanks

If I remember right you can't just take the pump off,as the casting is part of the engine block, you can take the top out with the delivery valves out and take that to a shop as these valves are probably stuck, but those are a bear to start if they get air locked , have you tried to blow compressed air in the fuel tank? but you can't put much pressure since the tank is plastic but you can put some try that before anything else

I have taken the plate containing the KILL lever off the side of the pump. The rear lever inside the opening is stuck about 3/8 inch from the rear of the opening. I am trying to free it up as I think the pump is in the KILL position. If this doesn"t work I will start to remove the top plate to get to the inj valves. Jim
