Right on the money John T!! We almost didn't make it to midnight but stuck it out! Son-In-Law is home from Iraq so the household is complete! By the way--the G Genny and VR were paws up--new VR and rebuilt the gen did the trick--oh how nice that G sounds when coming up the hill to the house!! Happy New Year to you and yours and look forward to next years postings! Maybe one of these days when I get to Martinsville, we can share a cup of coffee and some Purdue stories! Steve

Let's pray out troops can make it home this year and we don.t have to lose 950+ this year again.

yup, gettin there myself. wife and i stay home on "amature night" now. if we do go out, it's for a nice steak and lobster meal, but home by 8. kinda got tired of the "zaklies" (you know, when you wake up the next morning and your mouth tastes exactly like animal dung and your head feels exactly like dynamite is going off in it).
last evening after the daughters and their families went home, went out in the shop and messed with my neighbor's tractor (see my post on the allis chalmers board). came in the house at 11, took a shower, woke the wife up for a new year's kiss, moved the dog to the foot of the bed and went to sleep.
yup, gettin older.

Well, John, all I can say is that the education you got at ol' PU sure has tamed you down.

Happy New Year yourself!!

The years do take their toll, don't they? An Ag degree doesn't make you much wilder either.

Maybe next year for football?

Best regards,

Stan Huff (Ag, Class of '60).

Holy Cow Stan--I'm Vo Ag 66! When I graduated, I joined the Army and so many folks said what a waste of a good degree from Purdue--however; after 30 years, 10 months, and 26 days (who counted??) in the Army, I found the degree really helpful as I knew how to shovel it!! By the way--John T lives about 40 miles from where I grew up in Martinsville--small world huh? HAIL PURDUE!! Steve

In my purdue days in and around the late sixties we beat Notre Dame and usually went 8 n 2 n had QB's like Dawson n Griese n Phipps and Ol Fat Jack as coach too. Its a good school for Ag and Engineering

Steve, if you missed it above, thanks for the phone call

John T--here is the Yahoo address col_steve_koons@yahoo.com and my "Army" one there at Ft McPherson steve.koons@forscom.army.mil -- I had a Bio Methods course with Griese, Herrick, Catavolos, Williams, Sims and the like! Lived in Cary Hall so was close to the stadium with ole "Fat Jack" and Ray Eddy's magic guys there in the Fieldhouse! In addition, was in the Purdue Band for 4 years. Lots of good memories there! By the way--roomed with a real EE Honors Guy my Junior year there in Cary--John Solomon--totally lost track of him since we all graduated in '66. Anyhoo--wanted to make sure I got the e-mail addresses right and will give you a holler the next time I head toward Martinsville! God Bless!! Happy New Year! Steve

As I get older it seems the years go more quickly. Here it is New Years eve, 9:26pm, and I'm reading posts on YT mag. Its a sure cry from dancing the night away as my wife and I have done in years past. Oh well, I guess its more safe being at home. May God Bless us all, Happy New Year from Hershey, Pa.
