I posted over on Implement Alley, but got no reply. I"m looking at a John Deere 346 baler that looks good. What were or are any problems with it? What year was it built? Value? Thanks for your time!

We bale with a 348, and I think it is the best piece of eq. we own. Lary

I have baled with a 346 for several years. I used to think that there wasn't anything that would perform as well as a 14T, but a 346 will leave it in the dust. My only complaint is that it won't make a light, soft, mushy bale. It is like any other baler in that it is only as good as the maintenance and care that is given to the tying mechanism and the plunger knives. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. RHA
