On a styled 41 B what color should the two gas tanks be? Black or Green?

Deere never did paint those.

However I never put one together without some kinda paint on them as after all these years many are rusted up bad or even rusted out on the top.Anything has got to be better than rust.

I wonder if Eastwood Company makes some kinda original look zinc/galvanized or something. I think they might.

Eastwood does make a product for coating the outside of gas tanks. It"s called "Tank Tone" and is part # 1622. I used it on the tank of my 50. Comes out a sort of zinc color as zinc is one of the ingredients. It comes in a spray can.
The zinc color doesn"t show on the 50 since there is a green painted heat shield under the entire tank.

Other than the bottom of the tanks, the only color they saw was "overspray" (green). I would paint them green, the same color as the bottom of the tank when delivered.
