The electric fuel shutoff on my combine (1967 squareback) has given up the ghost. Would like to replace it with just a regular adjustment needle. Problem is the hole on the carburator body is enlarged to fit the cutoff. Does anyone know of an insert that would allow me to use a standard needle or needle assembly that would work. Appreciate any and all help.

I only have Zenith / Marvel Schebler numbers but no JD number for the solenoids. Need 95 parts book.

TSX-920SL & 938SL use same solenoid, Zenith # A75-32 or MS # 317-561, still available new from Zenith for about $95 +or-.

TSX-929SL uses solenoid, MS #317-566, no Zenith number or info on if available.

TSX-920, power needle main jet adj., Z # C71-76 or MS # 43-730, about $35 +or-.

Like Bob said JD parts book will show the needles better. If you have the MS TSX-920SL (AT23264) it may be easy to change? SL on end of number designates solenoid needle. 95s also used a MS TSX-920 (AT23264T) with adjustable needle. Other carbs used were MS TSX-938SL (AT21620T), TSX-929SL (AT24688) and Zenith replacements 14996 and 14997.

Have you looked in the Deere partsbook? I know, with some of those carbs, they pictured an optional manual needle and packing gland off to the side of the solenoid.
