I cant believe the JD B on ebay went for $12,600. Does that mean all 1935 4-Bolt B's w/round spokes worth over 10 grand? Mine even runs!

Had a very nice visit with Kenny Earman (makes his living restoring JDs)last Sunday here in Tx. While tromping around his "bone yard", Kenny made a very profound statement. "Wouldn't it be great if these old tractors could talk. What stories they could tell." I wish they could, but I'd never get anyting done but sit and listen all day.

I have two four bolt centerfill B's. The early ones with the centerfill gas tanks, and earlier parts...radiator, shifter, early 4 bolt pedestal (with part number between the 4 bolts...supposed to under the bolts) all make the tractor worth more then a later 4 bolt. If anyone is looking for one i would be willing to sell one of mine. The tractors are continousy climbing in price. Couple more years that tractor will be bringing much much more....at least if the prices continue to climb. Pick up a two cylinder or green mag from a year ago or two years ago and compare prices ITS CRAZY!

Plus it was a centerfill tank. I would have liked to have it too, but that was out of my price range. I have a 4-bolt restored on steel, but it is not a centerfill.

Ebay is funny that way, sometimes some people luck out and get double what you would see something else go for ? Congrates to the seller. I only wish my items could do half as good !

What made it so high priced is the serial number. The 111 one made. The person who bought it is going to have to dump alot into it---but what do you think it is going to be worth 5 years from now?Did you notice almost 9000 people were watching that tractor on e-bay?I really do believe that old tractors are only going to go up in value--- versus the little return on money in a bank.Besides you can look at your investment and take it for a ride with the grand kids once in a while and re live the memories those old tractors gave us.
