Can anyone tell me how to turn the fuel down on my 4010. I had to change the injection pump (fuel getting in with oil) now it is running a little hot. 210 degrees or a little more. It never got over 200 before. It has a turbo added to it I am sure that is helping to keep the temp up. It has two 160 degree thermostats in it. 210 may not be to hot but is higher than it has ever been.
thanks

Unless you are pulling it's guts out, the max fuel rate setting is NOT the problem.

Injection timing will affect temp, though.

This is for Bob who replied to injection pump adj.
Bob thank you very much. You were right on the money. Timing was off by 1/4 inch. I got it to within 1/16 of an inch. Thats as far as I could get it to turn. The tractor is running better,(it was not running to bad before but with it over 40 yrs old I thought it was good) It would smoke a lot before- very little now. I double and triple checked the timing when i put the pump on. Is it normal for the timing to change after you run it?
Again thank you very much and thank you to the lady who runs this website for allowing us to be in contact with people who can help us.
