I am looking at a 1946 A, looking to buy, but noticed a bolt in the end of the crankshaft, which appeared to be keeping the fly wheel from liding off the crank. The tractor is electric start, so I am not woried about the fact that it can no longer be cranked to start, but I do not want te bolt to be there. What would you guess the problem is? Is there an easy way to fix this, and keep the same flywheel? My guess was that the flywheel got loose sometime, and wore the end of the crank. I have not heard the tractor run, I need to get the pistons lose, from setting so long. The tractor sits in a shed, and has not been run for several years. Any help will be greatly apriciated.

If the flywheel has been run loose,it will most likely need a crank and a flywheel!Where are you located? Because I have a 46 A I would sell.mhorne@sonetcom.com
