OOPS , forgot about the water inside final drives..The water either got in from the lower shaft seal of the final drive or the final drive housing is worn to the point of a hole rubbed thru the top of final from dirt and junk on the inside of track shoes as they pass by..

First look at the valve spools under the seat. The valve spools dump oil intended to go to the steering clutches when you turn the machine..There are 2 "u" shaped lines going from the valve body to the steering clutch housings , deadhead a guage there at each line and check pressure reading, If the pressure is 150-185 lbs. at about 1/2 throttle, brake locked down ,machine in neutral , thats ok. If one reads lower than the other , adjust the spool length at the spool linkage eyelet to make the lower side 150-185lbs. .If someone has been in the clutches lately , the set screw was not installed correctly in the drum that locates it onto the upper final drive shaft. And it cut thru the oil feed hose to the steering clutch. When the steering clutch is operating ,there should be system pressure going to the clutch to apply the clutch piston. Many times if an inexperienced mechanic is installing the setscrew into the clutch drum , they tend to miss the groove in the upper final drive shaft. I've seen this many times...To repair , the clutch housing top cover must be removed to access the cut hose. and set screw must be replaced as the tip is probably buggered up....
