I just bought a 4030 john deere unfortunatly the swinging draw bar was not with the tractor. After looking for draw bars I realized that there are many different styles of draw bars. Should I buy a drawbar with hammer staps or with out offset or not. I will be haying and some light farming with the tractor. I would appreciate any help

I would get an offset drawbar. The offset drawbar is the best for pto operated equipment. If the hammerstrap drawbar is the one with the second, smaller hole further forward, I'd get that one, with an offset.
