I bought a 1010 JD back in Feb. the guy told me he had put a new crank in and it didn't use but very little oil. WRONG It uses about a quart an hour. I took it apart 5 days ago. Compression was good so I thought I would just put in valve seals. WRONG while I had it down I thought I would put a new set of rings in -since I had it apart anyway. WRONG Pulled cap off #1 rod bearing. It is very bad- looks like bearing has spun at some time and someone just put a bearing back over it-So much for the new Crank-looks like it will get one now. It allready has .030 under bearings in it so can't turn it anymore. Will get a Quote Monday about building it up and then turning it. I am not going to say the name right now i am going to call him, but if you are dealing with anyone from Providence KY - BE CAREFULL
