Forecast for 46077:
Sat- 58 and dry & sunny
Sun- 59 and brisk & sunny
Mon- rain
Tue- 69 and partly cloudy
Wed- 69 and scattered showers

Will any of these days work to spray JD green paint or will it just be too cold? I am spraying outside that is why I am working around this ever-getting-colder weather. It is the frame/rear case part of a 1937 A. Basically all cast and covered in buff primer
Thanks

I"ve gotten good results with JD paint in cold weather. I seems to want to lay down smooth when cold.

You can spray enamel down to 55 if you use the fastest drying reducer. The bigger problem is that it will take forever to cure and if you are outside you don't dare get dew or other moisture droplets on it or it will dull it down flat. Being cast, maybe you don't care. I assume that's 55 during the day.Paint has to continue to dry during the night too. Bottom line is,you can spray it at 40,it just wont dry. Good Luck!

Thanks, those were the highs for the day. I was going to try to spray from about 11:30am to 2:30pm max to get all the heat I can and then also let it at least dry while it is still kinda warm and then push it back in about 6:00pm before the dew. I already did the rear wheels in yellow this way, they are just less surface area. I still have every removable part to do after this main frame thing so it should have plenty of time to dry/cure even if it will be colder.

Thanks again
