>>After removing the pumps and re-installing the pumps, should I have to re-time them? Since they were rebuilt, yes, you will have to do this at a minimum. To have them run in near synchronized output, they should have been set up in synch while mounted to the pump bracket. If they were not, you may not know the relative fuel delivery position of one pump versus the other on the common rack. I'll assume they are in synchronization, but if not stop right now and have them checked. >>Is #1 cylinder the flywheel side, while #2 cylinder is the clutch side? Yes. >>When checking pump timing, with the mark lined up on the flywheel and case, which stroke should the engine be on before any adjustments are made to the pump? The engine would be on the compression stroke. Be certain that you have located the #1 INJ mark, and not the #1 TDC. Same goes for #2, 180* later. Adjust the pump scribe line to line up with the metal tang that it on the outside of the pump body. Adjust the plunger push rod to gain alignment. After you set this for each pump, spin it over twice and come up on the marks again, to assure that they repeat. Frank
