I think I may be the first to post an experience like this. I recently got this B,in very original shape. I soaked alot of this with PB. I tried to wiggle the rear wheel after cleaning rust off the axle and a couple soakings of PB. I got ahold of the spokes hoping for a little movement, and nearly landed on my rear! The wheel moved freely all the way. I didn't think that was possible.

Hello,
Moving the wheel out can be that easy, once they
are broke loose. Until then you can put all the
prybar on 'em you want, some will not move without lots of heat and cooling, vibration,
(pounding) and penetrant. CalJim

Moving the wheel out is easy. On the cast wheels we would hook a chain in the slots then pull the chain to form a triangle at the end of the axle. Put a steel bar through the slack an pry on the end of the axle. As the wheel moves out reset the chain so the apex of the chain triangle is just forward of the end of the axle. Slip the bar in thus pulling the wheel out over the splines. With spokes you can do the same thing.

Jerry,
Maybe you should go buy some Lotto tickets.
I guess if the previous owner had reason to
move them now and then they would be easier
to move. Enjoy the feeling, you know it will
never happen again. CalJim
