Like I tell my buddies, I quit farming once before and I can do it again. I have fed big round hay bales in the same lot for like 7 years and NEVER left big ruts or got anywhere near hung up and could mow in the hay storage lot in the spring BUTTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TTTTT TT

NOT THIS YEAR Its the mudiiest wettest softest mess Ive ever seen, rain all fall n winter and the ground NEVER FREEZES. I guees its wayyyyy y cheaper on my heat bill however. I just got done feeding and come purt near burying my AC D 15 and if it werent for the tire fliud n wheel weights and other weights I hung all over it this fall I would have had to doze it in a ditch where it sat. I was thinkin it was gonna take my buddys Four Hundred and Two - Zero Model JD Tractor with dual to pull me out and that would have been awfulllll lll embarassing to have to go n ask.

Told the 'first wife" Ima gonna sell some cows next week cuz Im also runnin short on hay cuz its too wet n muddy n soft to ever use the bale ring so theyre wastin half the hay (I hate cows). A trip to Florida Flywheelers next month may lift my spirits and by golly next year God willin Im heading south n staying half the winter.

I feel better now after rantin n ravin lol

Yall take care n God Bless

Ol John T and all (a lil frustrated)

John, I got my 4020 stuck in the front parking lot of the bank yesterday when I was attempting to chip away at the 4" of ice that we got 2 weeks ago. We got 5" of snow on top of that last weekend with no thaw until yesterday. Let me tell ya -- I was one EMBARRASSEDDDDD dude. The local coffee shop croud was watching the whole circus across the street and I know they were laughing their heads off. It took a little tug with a pickup to move my tractor off the ice and out of my rut. It is supposed to hit 50 tomorrow, so I'll wait and try it again.

Well i just can't keep quiet on this one about the deere's.

Ifn I recall, John T had a deere, put it on the auction block and bought the D 15. Tell me it ain't so.

By the way, that D 15 is a neat little bundle of tractor. I got a II series to keep my green thing in it's corner lol

Hate to say it Henry but yes its true. I have a lot of steep hillside bush hogging work plus some under trees etc and that tall 620 tricycle I had was gonna get me killed so I opted for a low profile wide front low center of gravity lil D 15 with PS and 3 Pt and its great, its just sooooo ooo wet n sloppy n muddy this year I even had trouble with a JD 720.

Oh John. Rain is alway Good, I pull a round bale with a tumble bug down the county dirt road and mud is all over it. Poor cow have a large mud cake to eat, and then where I want to feed them it looks a land mine field of Sh-- added spice for them. It will dry off again. My pickup weight about a ton with all the mud under it. My tractor shed is going to be fun cleaning all the dry mud out of it carried in with the tractors. Enjoy yourself at the Flywheeler next month.
Good Luck Ben

The folks here at the Hilton hotel said I was outra here if I parked my muddy rental vehicle here again lol!!

Anybody need any rain?? I'll try to shew it your way!! I'd like to share the wealth!!

John T. Sounds like you need the M John Deere in the earlier post. Don't let a little mud get you down. We been struggling for years in Kentucky in the clay. Like they say "when the going gets tough, the tough need to get going"
