Deere doesn't make the bearings, so compare by maker and part number with various suppliers.

Last summer, I put a clutch in a small Ford tractor with a 2-stage clutch. The bearing was an Aetna, and I had the part number.

FNH wanted $97.00.

NAPA wanted $48.00.

A local auto supply store wanted $35.00.

I looked on JDPARTS, and got the bearing through my Deere dealer, an Aetna bearing, US-made, with the same part # as the original Aetna, with an "A&I" sticker on the box, for about $23.00!

So, it pays to shop around.

Incidently, what is the number on your old bearing, and what tractor are you working with?

The bearing is for a JD model 401b industrial, almost the same as the 2440. The bearing is a aetna A-3544 Stan
