The add was pulled by Ebay. They pulled it because they thought someone was tampering with the add. It is legit from the best of my knowledge. It is back up on Ebay now and is at 75K.

First, I do not believe it was a scam and I do believe the tractor to be real. I know a few people in the area that know of the tractor (I live a few miles away myself) and I was able to talk with one of the owners. Nice fella. . . the reserve was set high enough because family members wanted to buy the tractor/keep it in the family and a high reserve was a way to find out the value without having the tractor sold. Things get more complicated as a few sons of the original owner are trying to fairly find a way sell/settle the tractor issue without spliting up the family. This is of course none of my business but I dont want people to give this guy a hard time as I think he has appoached the situation in a sensible manner. Is it his fault that a bunch of goofballs might be putting in false bids and are playing with his auction? Ive read where several people have put bids in just to say they bid on it. . . Why the auction was pulled? I have no idea. Have not talked to the owners since, but I can say he seems sincere and I would not know why folks around here would put people thru such a scam; there are much more important things to worry about.

This auction is not a scam. I am sorry you don"t feel the tractor is worth the bids being posted. Everyone has their own opion, but I can assure you the tractor is as stated in the listing and when the reserve is met it will most definately sell!

Hi all:
I had the feeling this was a scam of some sort. First idea they were trying to see what the high water mark was to help settle an estate, Second idea that passed through my normally trusting mind, the tractor was and is not #1 off the assembly line. What a joke!
Regards,
AL CT

WRONG AGAIN AL. I HAVE SEEN THE TRACTOR. IT IS A #1 AND IS GOING TO SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER. I SUSPECT ALL WHO SELL ON EBAY ARE INTERESTED IN GETTING THE RESERVE MET. DUH!!!!! HOPE YOU ENJOY EATING YOUR WORDS. IT IS AMAZING HOW SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER SEEN THE TRACTOR AND PROBABLY CAN NOT AFFORD TO BUY IT, CAN POST A MESSAGE SUCH AS YOURS. POST MORE MESSAGES YOU ARE AMUSING.

It hit the $100,000 mark shortly after noon. Must have been pulled this afternoon. We'll stay tuned, as somebody will surely know more about it.

I don't see how living just a few miles away and never hearing about the guy makes it any less credible. Some people have high profile items, but simply don't like to show things or want attention.

I know of a collection with all 6 of the L-series, 620LPO, 24" & 26" spoker, full 20 series, + lots more, but only the closest friends of the owner know it exists together. Meeting the owner you would also never guess what he has - he just likes to keep to himself and enjoy his things on his own. . . You never know what's around the corner, but don't blindly discredit either.

Those are not that rare of tractors, not even close.I've got several a lot more rare than that.people hundreds of miles from me found out somehow.A first of any model will not go unnoticed especially to collectors in the next town.

a complete series of L's contains the 62. With less than 20 still around today, I would say the collection does count as rare. and with only 92 620 LPO's originally, again I would say that's pretty rare.

the others, I will say are not super low, but aren't the most common either. I was just trying to point out not all people like the attention and it could easily go unnoticed
