We purchased a "GENUINE" John Deere Weathervane with the Two-Legged Deere back in the 80's. We bought the last one offered through our John Deere Dealership. We had to have our building vent ridge replaced, and the contractors broke it in 3 places! We need to find an "EXACT" replacement or if anyone know's the currect value, would be helpful. It is stamped John Deere with the logo. These were available on through Deere Dealers and came out in the 70's-80's. ANYONE THAT CAN HELP--WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!! THANKYOU. Jennifer

I have a plasma CNC machine and can build you a replacement for $100. I am capable of cutting anything you desire from steel with very smooth cuts and fine details. www.lonestarironandtrading.com

can you not find a real good welder and have it welded back togeher and a little work with a grinder and metal filler and you shouldn"t be able to tell it from the ground any way. i don"t understand why it would have to be an exact replacement and doubt seriously if you"ll ever find one. good luck

We do not know if it can be welded in anyway. It is "cast-aluminum". Besides, why should we have to settle for that if we can find an original, replacement? We didn't break it. The builders were very negligent in the way they handled it. We believe they dropped it off the edge of our building! It broke in 2 places. It is the builder's responsibility to replace exactly what we had or figure a value of what it is worth. What do you feel it is worth??
